HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
Duration: Face to Face – 7.5 hours (minimum) full face to face course.
Blended delivery – 5.5 hours (minimum) face to face course with the addition of 2 hours self-paced learning to be completed prior to attending the face to face course.
Refresher training – 5.5 hours (minimum) face to face course – conditions apply for this option, for example, you will need to provide previous current certificates.
Online Training with Face to Face Assessment – 20 minutes (minimum) face to face assessment with the addition of 6 hours of self-paced learning to be completed prior to attending the face to face course.

Assessment requirements: Students must be able to perform 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on a manikin.
Statement of assessment: Assessments conducted during face-to-face training session(s) include:
Performance tasks – The assessor must observe the following performance tasks: o Perform CPR on an infant, Anaphylaxis (allergic reaction), Choking with airway obstruction, Unconscious casualty, Bleeding and shock, Snake or funnel web spider bite, Sprains and fractures
Practical scenarios – The assessor must observe the following practical scenario: Perform CPR on an adult, Breathing difficulties – Asthma
Theory assessment – A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice and short answer questions. The student must complete all assessment questions.
